This was a plain pine coffee table.
So we (Michelle and I) decided it needed transformation.
We made a mixture of half Old White
and half Country Grey to get the right colour.
Two layers of paint and a coat of clear wax.
But then Michelle started getting nervous!!
The dark wax was the next step.
As you can see, when you work with dark wax, your mutton cloth is
your best friend. Wipe it off before it dries.
By working the dark wax into the grooves, and not removing it,
you will get the contrast and the look you want.
At the end of the day the table looked stunning and Michelle was a happy woman.
