Colour Therapy II

A few more photos of the pages that belongs 

to my colour therapy art journal.

The quote on the first page is so true, I love it!

As always a bit of glitter here and there.

The black ink was to harsh, so I over stamped with white ink.

I used some kind of mica flakes (to leave a little sparkle) 

and adhered it with Glossy Accents. 

Orange, Pink and Yellow!

What more do you need to get you going?

French Blue

Any one that knows me, knows that I love blue.

Quite a while ago I made three cushion covers, but I still need two more

and I had to use blue. Blue Stencil paint and blue lace This colour was the closest to 

Woad and to me Woad is the perfect colour blue.

 

I could really sit and do this for hours, I just need someone to bring me 

some coffee once in a while! 

 I added a little bit of silver on the crown.

Then I took another design and did it in red. 

This is all the same colour red. Just add more or less paint.

 I will cut these two designs smaller and stitch them onto the bigger covers. 

Then I will add some ribbon and lace.

OK, now for the confession.... they are still under construction

and when they are done I will post the pictures.

What I have done in the meanwhile.... baked some Ginger biscuits,

some Soetkoekies and Lebkuchen. 

Completed the last card class for the year and wrote two 

articles and completed the two projects for magazines

 that are to be published in 2014.

That is why there were no blog posts.

Stencilled Shopping Tote

A lot of family and friends are celebrating their birthdays this month.

So it is time to make gifts.

Decorating this cotton canvas tote was quick and it was fun.

You don't need a lot of supplies and there are so many

different ways with paint, oil paint sticks, Sharpie markers,

Ribbon, lace, buttons and.....

Always have a piece of fabric at hand that you can practice

your skills and colour combinations on.

If you think it looks a bit plain, zoosh it up with

a little bit of French ribbon,

If you want to die the tote, wash it to get rid of all the starch.

Then die it while it is wet. Colours blend better on wet fabric.
