Shanya's Gift

I help a 10 year old girl with her homework every afternoon for 2 hours, 4 days a week. I normally go to her house but recently, when I had to take care of my mother in law for a couple of weeks, she came to my house and was very interested in my studio and asked me if she could one day inherit the studio! Of course I had to say yes. She knows about the button bracelets that I've been making (mostly for myself) and so I decided that I would make her one for her birthday which is tomorrow. Colour was the first motivation and then the size of the buttons and I tried to keep it practical.
Happy Birthday Shanya,
remember you are special!

Terrific Turquoise ATCs

I belong to a local support group for rubber-stamping fanatics and one of the members is hosting an ATC swap which is due by Wednesday.  The theme is "Terrific Turquoise" and we have to include some form of rubber-stamping on our works of art.

This is a close-up of my 28 creations...

I will post the complete card once I've received confirmation from Debbie Harris that all the contributors have received theirs.  (I do not want to spoil the fun for them!?)

Elna is hosting our "Cute as a Button" bracelet class on Saturday and I will do the same on Tuesday here at my studio.

Hope you have an amazing weekend...

Cute as a Button Bracelet

Hi everyone,
We are glad to hear that there are a few guys out there that also visit our blog,
welcome guys!!

What happened today, left me without words. We were supposed to work on another project but "Button Fever" got us going and we made these four bracelets for our class next month. I think they look absolutely gorgeous.

So we decided as we went along, that you will be making three bracelets during this class, because you need at least THREE!
One looks good but three look fantastic.

(So the soldering project for next week is....
not quite finished! But we are working on it.)
